Rancor Base was Warlord Zsinj`s secret headquarters in orbit over Dathomir.

The orbital complex contained a shipyard with drydock that was used to service his fleet, which included the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Iron Fist. It was at this shipyard that Zsinj and his engineers developed the TIE Raptor, which was used by the warlord's Raptors.

The base and its shipyard were destroyed in 8 ABY by a battle fleet sent to Dathomir by Ta'a Chume, the ruler of the Hapes Consortium, in an effort to rescue her son Isolder and Leia Organa.
