The Rank insignia of the Galactic Republic were a system of badges indicating military status, used by officers of the Republic Navy and the Grand Army of the Republic, and normally worn on Republic uniforms.

Introduction Edit

Republic rank insignia consisted of one or more horizontal rows of colored rank squares carried on a metal plaque on the left breast of the uniform. On cold assault gear rows are vertical and metal plaque carried on down center. Rank distinctions were indicated by variation in the number, color, and arrangement of squares.

Republic Navy Edit

AdmiralEdit

The insignia of an admiral consisted of a row of three red squares centered over a row of two blue squares. ^[1]

Admirals Shoan Kilian^[1] and Wullf Yularen^[2] both wore this insignia aboard Republic star destroyers.

CaptainEdit

The insignia of a captain consisted of a row of one blue square and two red squares, from right to left. ^[3]

Captain Silver wore this insignia aboard a Republic rescue ship near Vanqor. ^[3]

CommanderEdit

The insignia of a commander consisted of a row of two red squares and one blue square, from right to left. ^[2]

Commander Wolffe wore this insignia during the campaign against the Malevolence. ^[2]

LieutenantEdit

The insignia of a lieutenant consisted of one red square and one blue square, from right to left.

EnsignEdit

Ensigns were newly commissioned officers from the Naval Academy. The insignia of an ensign consisted of one red square.

Grand Army of the Republic Edit

Clone Marshall CommanderEdit

The insignia of a clone marshal commander consisted of a row of one dark blue square, one gold square, and two light blue squares, from right to left. ^[4]

Clone Marshall Commander Cody wore this insignia at the Battle of Utapau. ^[4]

Captain Edit

The insignia of captain on cold assault gear consisted of row of one red square and two light blue squares, from up to down. ^[5]

Captain Rex wore this insignia during the Battle of Orto Plutonia^[5]

Trooper Edit

The insignia of clone trooper on cold assault gear consisted of row of two blue squares and one red square, from up to down. ^[5]

All clone cold assault troopers wore this insignia during the Battle of Orto Plutonia^[5]
