Raphael "Raph" Koster (sometimes credited as Ralph Koster or Coster) is a game designer. He worked as the creative director of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided from the year 2000 to 2003, then went on to act as Chief Creative Officer of Sony Online Entertainment until 2006.
Koster is a charter member of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. He is a frequent speaker at various video game industry conferences and expos, including the Game Developers Conference and the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
He currently lives in San Diego, California with his wife and children.
