Ras was a clone commando in Ion Team during the Clone Wars.

Along with his companions Captain Climber, Trace, and another commando, Ras helped ambush Commander Salvo's attempt to carry out Order 66, saving three Jedi from an ambush. Ras was one of two commandos Darth Vader managed to kill for their disobedience.
