Rathe Camalon was a baron of House Cadriaan who governed the Cadriaan Province of the Tapani Sector. His father was a commoner who originated in the Freeworlds region and bought his way into the nobility. Some old fashioned nobles in his house ostracized the young noble because of his common ancestry. As such Rathe had an almost obsessive hatred toward noble born house members who he saw as effortlessly ascending through the house ranks.
