A Rebel Fortress was a military installation used by the Rebel Alliance and later the New Republic. It was gray and blue on the outside and domed in shape. Constructed by R2-D5 labor droids, Rebel Fortresses were used to produce military units such as the Light Corvette air cruisers, or the Blaster Cannons, or the Airspeeders and the Armored Airspeeders.

Behind the scenesEdit

Imperial Fortresses appear in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and its 2002 expansion pack. These fortresses are buildable in the Rebel campaign, or if the player captures a Rebel worker droid, or in the multiplayer mode. They are destroyable during the Empire campaign.
