A Rebel base was on Cardooine early in the Galactic Civil War.[1] The starfighter unit Soaring Dactillions was assigned there at one time to test the A-wing prototype. It was assaulted by the Galactic Empire[2] but the action was stymied by the actions of the tech expert Tendaar Bel.[1] The Dactillions took heavy casualties in the battle.[2]
