Red Five was the callsign of the fifth member of Red Squadron. There were a number of starfighter squadrons with this name, and several beings went by the name Red Five.
History
An unknown clone trooper pilot went by the callsign of Red Five. He was killed during a mission to Tythe in 19 BBY.
Anakin Skywalker flew as Red Five during a number of battles in the Clone Wars, including the Battle of Coruscant.
Luke Skywalker flew as Red Five in the Battle of Yavin.
Chewbacca was assigned the call sign during a mission to Kamino.
In 4 ABY, Grizz Frix flew as Red Five during the Battle of Endor.
Behind the scenes
Red5 was used as a cheat code in Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II which granted the player all weapons and full ammunition.
Red Five is the inspiration for the call sign of the parodic character Pink Five.
