Red Five was the callsign for the fifth member of Red Squadron.
History
The callsign was used by Luke Skywalker during the Battle of Yavin[2] and several subsequent missions.[3]. After Skywalker destroyed the first Death Star, the callsign became synonymous with the actual X-wing fighter he flew.[4] Grizz Frix used the callsign during the Battle of Endor.[1]
