Red Squadron was a starfighter squadron that served in the navy of the Galactic Republic and flew the Aurek-class tactical strikefighter during the Jedi Civil War.

HistoryEdit

They participated in the successful Republic assault on the Star Forge in 3,956 BBY. When the Jedi Knight Bastila Shan, after having been redeemed by Revan, shifted the use of her battle meditation to aid the Republic fleet under the command of Admiral Forn Dodonna, Red Squadron was ordered to reinforce the breach in the Sith fleet's battle formation that had been made by Green Squadron, opening a hole for the rest of Dodonna's capital ships. This proved the turning point of the Battle of Rakata Prime that would see the end of the conflict.
