The redcrested cougar was a large and fearsome carnivorous feline native to Belkadan. They weighed 140 kilograms fully grown, and possessed ten-centimeter-long fangs.

Cougars occasionally attacked the ExGal-4 outpost. They presumably became extinct when Yomin Carr terraformed the world, as they did not adapt to its new atmosphere.
