This article is about the painting named Redemption. You may be looking for the frigate Redemption or the comic Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi - Redemption.

Redemption, also known as Portrait of Master Kenobi, was a painting available in the galaxy sometime after the Battle of Yavin during the Galactic Civil War. It depicted a young Human Jedi Padawan kneeling before the spirit of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. A field of stars appears in the background of Master Kenobi while a cloudy yet sunny sky appears behind the Padawan.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Redemption was a painting available to players in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. Added to the game as part of the Chapter 6: Masters of the Wild update on May 22, 2007, the painting was automatically granted to all players who logged on after the release of the update. It could be used as decoration in the player character's house. A second version of this painting, named Portrait of Master Kenobi, existed in the game; this version had a silver frame and was only available on the Japanese servers of Star Wars Galaxies.[1]
