Rel Bentin was a captain in the Galactic Empire who participated in the subjugation of Oben. Following Captain Thrawn's bombing of the planet, Bentin came across Warlord Bentilais san Sk'ar. Intimidated by the towering figure of Sk'ar, Bentin brought the warlord before Emperor Palpatine, who deemed the Oben to be a worthy addition to the Empire.
