A remote droid was a type of battle droid that was used in the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars. In 21 BBY a group of these droids broke into the Kothlis spynet facility during General Grievous's invasion of the planet and attacked Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi. Although Kenobi was rescued by Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, Clone Lieutenant Treve was killed.
