The Republic Armed Forces was the formal designation of the military forces of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars.

It was headed by Republic High Command, which, until the Battle of Coruscant, was under the command of the Jedi High Council and Galactic Senate, and only afterward came under the total control of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.
The RAF presumably included the Jedi Order, Grand Army of the Republic, Republic Navy, Republic Officers and Judicial Forces, but excluded the Senate and Red Guards.
At the Declaration of a New Order, the Armed Forces were changed into the Imperial Military.
