Republic Day

Republic Day was a holiday (presumably celebrating the foundation of the Galactic Republic during the Unification Wars) characterized by many fireworks and parades, as well as many stores conducting half-price sales, especially on Coruscant. It was celebrated on the nineteenth day of the third month of the Galactic Standard Calendar. After the fall of the Republic, it became known as Remembrance Day.
