The Galactic Republic maintained an embassy on the planet Kashyyyk sometime well before the Galactic War with the reconstituted Sith Empire. The embassy was destroyed by a Kaleesh, who was convicted of the crime and given a life sentence of imprisonment on the planet Belsavis.[1]

The Kashyyyk embassy was first mentioned in the Codex entry for the group of prisoners known as the Condemned in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game released by BioWare in 2011.[1]
