The Republic Security Force (RSF, not to be confused with Naboo's "Royal Security Force" of the same acronym) was the primary police force maintained by the Galactic Republic.

The mission of the RSF was to assist local jurisdictions in investigating crimes that affected multiple systems, to eliminate any legal wrangling that would impede a swift resolution to crime. Jango Fett is known to have engaged multiple RSF personnel on assignment in Coruscant, where he was ordered to kill Senator Connus Trell. After the Senator was tossed from the building, a Republic Variable Altitude Assault Transport/enforcement cruiser was sent to kill Fett, but was destroyed.

The armor worn by RSF personnel was similar in design to those worn by the Theed Palace Guard, and was usually colored Blue and Yellow.
