Republic Senate Guardsmen were Galactic Republic soldiers that guarded the Republic Senate Hall until the Great Sith War in 3,996 BBY. They wore brown helmets and green robes, and were armed with a force pike. They were present during the trial of Ulic Qel-Droma. When the Dark Lord of the Sith Exar Kun interrupted the trial, the guardsmen were hypnotized as were many others present.^[1]

They were replaced in their capacity as guards for the Republic Senate by the Senate Guard who would protect the Senate District, Senate Building, senators and the Supreme Chancellor for the next several thousand years.^[2]
