Republic Senate Guardsmen were elite Republic soldiers that guarded the Republic Senate Hall until the Great Sith War in 3,996 BBY. These elite soldiers wore brown helmets and green robes, and were armed with a force pike. They were present during the trial of Ulic Qel-Droma.

When the Dark Lord of the Sith Exar Kun interrupted the trial, these guardsmen were hypnotized as with many others present. Their fate following the Great Sith War is unknown though they would be succeeded by the Senate Guards during the last decades of the Republic and the Imperial Royal Guards of the Galactic Empire.
