The Republic Special Forces was an elite military unit charged with aiding the defense of the Galactic Republic after the Great Galactic War.

The Special Forces troops wore white armor similar to the later clone troopers and Stormtroopers of the Clone Wars-era Republic and the Galactic Empire and similar visor layouts to the many variations of Mandalorian Armor.

The organization was formed after the exile of the Jedi Order at the end of the Great War. These elite troopers would sometimes cooperate with the Jedi Knights. In some parts of the galaxy, they constituted the only military available.
