The Republic Treasury was responsible for ensuring the financial viability of the Old Republic and its primary form of currency, the datarie or Republic credit. Within its organization was a complete Audit Division, that ensured all member corporations and governments—including the Republic itself—followed the proper accounting procedures and regulations. Each branch of the Republic Treasury was allowed to enforce its own regulations, and many branches had dedicated investigative teams.
