The Republic Troop Transport (RTT) was a ground transport that saw wide-spread use by the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.

CharacteristicsEdit

This repulsorlift vehicle had very little armor, but was armed with two laser cannons and two mass driver missile launchers for self-defense. It could be carried onboard an LAAT/c to quickly reach strategic points on the battlefield.

HistoryEdit

RTTs were used to transport the Jedi Knights to the Geonosian arena so they could rescue Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Senator Padmé Amidala. Following this, they saw action in the Clone Wars, particularly early on in that conflict. They were notably deployed at the Battle of Rhen Var, during the Dark Reaper Crisis.

During the Galactic Civil War, a similar design meant for space travel would be utilized by the Rebel Alliance.
