Republic xenozoologists^[1], also known as Republic xenoscientists, were experts working for the Galactic Republic.^[2]

The Republic xenozoologists were unable to classify all the dangerous animals in the forests of the planet Lamaredd in the five centuries after its settlement.^[1] They also mistakenly believed that the sentient native species Menahuun had been completely wiped out.^[2]
