Repulsor scouts were used as recon vehicles by the Imperial Army, often in difficult and hazardous terrain.

They were armed with a heavy repeating blaster located on the back of the vehicle, which could be accessed via a roof hatch. The gunner would stand behind the cannon on top of the vehicle, surrounded by railing.

Repulsor scouts had been used since before the Battle of Yavin, often accompanying Radtroopers in toxic environments.
