The Resistance on Cyrillia was an engagement that took place around 12,700 BBY at the Expansion Region[1] planet[2] Cyrillia. It was a late confrontation of the Fifth Alsakan Conflict, a war that had commenced more than three centuries earlier and was one of a fourteen-millennia-long series of wars over political control of the Galactic Republic between its capital world Coruscant, the planet Alsakan, and their respective allies.[1]
Cyrillia was situated in the region actively controlled by the Grand Companies—trading conglomerates based along the hyperlane known as the Spin and backed by Coruscant—and lay along a hyperspace route mostly controlled by the Republic's capital. Following the Resistance on Cyrillia, the Fifth Alsakan Conflict itself also ended around 12,700 BBY.[1]
