The Reticent was a YT-1000 freighter. It was owned by a Koorivar captain who had two Sy Myrthian crew. In 14 BBY, the Reticent was caught up in Berch Teller's campaign when the information broker Knotts sent them as decoys into the Obroa-skai system. The ship and her crew were captured by Moff Wilhuff Tarkin and Darth Vader.

DescriptionEdit

As a YT-1000 freighter, the Reticent had a circular design with an outrigger cockpit hemmed in between a pair of rectangular mandibles. The freighter had a cargo ramp below its cockpit. The Reticent ferried a range of cargo including tools, medical supplies, bolts of fabric, costume jewelry, alcoholic beverages, and droid parts. The ship was equipped with a hyperdrive that was inferior than a Class Five one.[1]

HistoryEdit

The Reticent was roughly a hundred years old by the Imperial Era. In 17 BBY, the ship's Koorivar captain and two Sy Myrthian crew acquired the ship from an information broker on Lantillies named Knotts, who was an associate of the insurgent Berch Teller. In 14 BBY, Teller initiated a hit and run campaign against the Empire after stealing Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's ship Carrion Spike. Following the Battle in the Phindar system, Teller realized the Empire was tracking the Carrion Spike using a paralight tracker. To mislead his Imperial pursuers, Teller got Knotts to send a decoy ship the Obroa-skai system in the place of the stolen Carrion Spike, which belonged to his nemesis Moff Wilhuff Tarkin. [1]

Knotts hired the Koorivar captain and his crew to pick up replacement parts for a fleet of Sephi flyers at Thustra and then travel to an Obroa-skai emergency medvac center. Knotts gave the Reticent's crew the coordinates transmitted by the Carrion Spike. The Reticent was subsequently caught up in a massive hyperspace accident in the Obroa-skai system when one of Tarkin's interdictor vessels malfunctioned. The Reticent and her crew survived the accident but were tractor beamed aboard the Imperial Star Destroyer Executrix.[1]

Sergeant Crest and other stormtroopers inspected the Reticent while Tarkin and Darth Vader interrogated the Koorivar captain and Sy Myrthian crew. Vader's harsh interrogation caused the Sy Myrthian navigator a heart attack. By questioning the Koorivar captain, Tarkin and Vader learned about Knotts and subsequently the rest of Teller's rebel cell.[1]
