It was published by the Los Angeles Times Syndicate from November 1982 to January 1983. It has also been posted online on Hyperspace. The comic documents several events, including Admiral Gial Ackbar and the Mon Calamari joining the Rebel Alliance and Darth Vader taking command of his recently built Super Star Destroyer, Executor.

Development

Revenge of the Jedi introduced the character of Admiral Ackbar. At the time the strip was created, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi was still in production.

Revenge of the Jedi was the original title of the third installment of the original Star Wars trilogy. The word "Revenge" would ultimately be used for Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
