Revwien coleslaw was served at the eatery known as Dex's Diner on the planet Coruscant[1] prior to its destruction during the first two years of the Galactic Empire's reign.[2] At the diner, the dish was offered as a lunch side, where it could be purchased for 2.7 credits. The coleslaw shared its name with the Revwiens,[1] a species native to the planet Revyia.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
- "I have a fondness for abandoned concepts, hence the inclusion of the donut droid as well as references to Revwiens, Adarians, apple slugs and even Kenner's Mongo Beefhead Tribesman."
- ―Gregory Walker
Revwien coleslaw was mentioned in "Dining at Dex's," a 2009 StarWars.com Hyperspace article written by Gregory Walker in the form of an in-universe menu.[1] Walker mentioned Revwiens in the article due to a fondness for abandoned concepts;[4] the Revwiens were intended to appear in[5] the 1977 original trilogy film,[6] Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, but the complexity of their costume forced the idea to be scrapped.[5]
