Richard Armitage (born August 22, 1971) is an English actor, writer, and composer who portrayed a Naboo Bravo 6 starfighter pilot in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. It was one of Armitage's first forays into cinema and like co-stars Dominic West and Christian J Simpson, Armitage found himself being inquired about his early role in the film. Armitage is well known for his recurring roles on shows such as "Ultimate Force", "Spooks" (A.K.A. "MI-5"), "Strike Back", the 2006 "Robin Hood" series and "North & South". He played Heinz Kruger, a Hydra Agent in Captain America: The First Avenger and starred in the disaster film Into the Storm. He is best known for starring as Dwarf King Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit trilogy.
