Richard A. Baker (born December 8, 1950) is a makeup artist in the second production unit for Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. He is also uncredited for playing the roles of Figrin D'an and Hem Dazon in the Mos Eisley Cantina.

He worked on another Lucasfilm production, Michael Jackson's Captain EO, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and released in 1986 for the Disney Theme Parks.

He has won six Academy Awards, out of eleven nominations, for the films An American Werewolf in London (1981), Harry and the Hendersons (1988), Ed Wood (1994), The Nutty Professor (1996), Men in Black (1997), and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000).
