Rin Shuuir was a Sith sorcerer active[1] around 4000 BBY.[2] At one point, he accompanied the Sith warrior Utris, who became incapacitated. To revive his companion, Shuuir used a Sith healing amulet, which in turn forced the sorcerer to temporarily impair his ability to access the Alter class of Force abilities.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Rin Shuuir was introduced in the 1996 roleplaying game sourcebook Tales of the Jedi Companion, written by George R. Strayton and published by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. In the book, the character was mentioned in an example describing the in-game usage of a healing amulet. This article assumes that the in-universe aspects of that example are canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[1]
