Rion was a planet on the Kessel Run of the Outer Rim Territories. Rion was known as a tropical paradise.

During the time of the Galactic Empire, the planet was thought to house Rebel cells, and Captain Bzorn ordered Rion frozen by the Ionic Ring. The planet was transformed into a frozen wasteland. It was once the location of Tana's Resort.
