- "Alxa Kress. He was particularly fond of Rodian theater."
- ―Jocasta Nu
Rodian Theater was a type of theater[2] performed in the Rodian tongue.[1] Rodian Theater troupes often counted Drabatans, a species with pitch-perfect voices who often played the heel, among their number.[2] The Rodian Harido Kavila created works of Rodian theater that were well-liked by the Anomid Jedi High Council member Alxa Kress, and Kress taught Jedi Master Mace Windu how to perform Kavila's works in Rodese.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Rodian Theater was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Dawn of Rebellion, a 2018 supplement to the Star Wars Roleplaying system produced by Fantasy Flight Games.[2] The theater was first introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 1996 West End Games roleplaying adventure A Trip to the Country, published in the sourcebook Shadows of the Empire Planets Guide.[3]
