Rothana was a planet near the edge of Wild Space. It was located near Kamino.

Rothana was the headquarters of Rothana Heavy Engineering, a subsidiary of the Kuat Drive Yards corporation, which was responsible for creating the various war machines of the Republic Army. Due to its close proximity to Kamino, Rothana was chosen by the Kaminoans to manufacture the vehicles and vessels of the clone army.

A world with at least some arctic terrain, Rothana was home to the arctic horny whelmer. The wide, sturdy stance of this native beast was mimicked in the design of the Rothana All Terrain Tactical Enforcer. The AT-TE was first deployed for security on Subterrel before its first true military deployment during the Battle of Geonosis.

During the Second Corellian Insurrection, the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances believed Rothana would join with the Corellians purely to observe and due to a shipbuilding rivalry.
