Roxi Barl was a freelance assassin/thug in the Corellian Sector, well known to CorSec. She and her sister, Deli, long dreamed of getting rich, and finally managed it when Deli married CorDuro's Vice-President of Fleets. He was found murdered after he filed for divorce from Roxi's sister. It was this action that led Victor Pomt to hire her.
She tried to capture Leia Organa Solo in orbit of Corellia only to be killed by Han Solo along with one of her cohorts, Dex.
