Rusa was a female Rutian Twi'lek who lived on Tython during the Cold War. She was the daughter of Bahlea and her husband, who were Pilgrims from Ryloth. When she fell sick, her father went searching for manka cat teeth to use in a medicine for her. He was killed by Flesh Raiders, but Rusa's mother asked a Jedi Padawan from the nearby Jedi Temple to find his body. The Padawan recovered the teeth and brought them back to Bahlea, who used them to heal her daughter.
