The S-5 blaster was a multi-function blaster that fired bolts, sting charges, and anaesthic microdarts. It included a liquid-cable shooter as well.

It was used by Royal Naboo Security Forces Captain Panaka in 32 BBY. He used the blaster during the entire invasion, and used the grappling hook on many occasions. The expensive, prestige blaster design was later in use during the Clone Wars. Jedi General Bardan Jusik once used one during an anti-terrorist operation on Coruscant.
