The SE-14, sometimes known as the SR combat pistol,[1] was a basic blaster pistol produced by BlasTech Industries.

The SE-14 consisted of little more than a tube with a grip, and a small power pack located beneath the muzzle.
This weapon was used by the B1 battle droids of the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars[2] and was referred to as the Separatist blaster pistol. Likely due to the touchy situation of producing weapons for an enemy of the Galactic Republic, BlasTech denied that it was one of their designs.[3]
After the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire, BlasTech was contracted by the Imperials to produce this weapon as a semi-automatic backup sidearm, known as the SE-14r.[2] Another upgraded version, the SE-14C,[4] was later released.
Smugglers and criminals were known to use the SE-14, as evidenced when Ponda Baba attempted to use one to shoot Luke Skywalker in Chalmun's Cantina.[5]

Behind the scenes
Edit
This gun is a cut-down Swiss Rexim-Favor submachine gun and is also seen in the movie Alien.[6]
The PlayStation 2 versions of Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: Battlefront II feature this as the Imperials' blaster pistol, as opposed to the scout trooper blaster pistol used in other versions of the games.
