The SHUKUR-05 was a light repeating blaster in production by the time of the Galactic Civil War.[1] The origins of the repeater's name could be found in the Mandalorian language, specifically the Mando'a word shukur, which translated to "break" in Galactic Basic Standard.[2]
The chieftain of Clan Awaud, Vera Beroya, carried a SHUKUR-05 light repeater, and made extensive use of it in battle. In combat, Beroya was known to expend the SHUKUR-05's ammunition, before dropping the repeater and switching to her father's mythosaur axe.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The SHUKUR-05 light repeater was first introduced to the Star Wars universe in Fantasy Flight Games' roleplaying game adventure book Friends Like These, published on December 8, 2016.[1]
