The SaSassis Bar was a bar located on the planet Kirima in Verena City's Verena Starport, in operation around 6 ABY. Around that same year, the bar's bartender covertly assisted a group of travelers working for the New Republic Intelligence Service in delivering a modular command circuit to New Republic Intelligence Service agent Bren-Nevin Rordan.

The SaSassis Bar was in operation and employed a bartender[1] around 6 ABY[2] in Verena City's Verena Starport on the planet Kirima.[1] Around that same year,[2] a group of travelers was hired by the New Republic Intelligence Service's second-in-command, Lazarus Armand, to covertly deliver a modular command circuit to Kirima in order to repair the Kalinda system's Kalindan Defense System. Armand instructed the travelers to go to the SaSassis Bar and ask for a Corellian Twister with "no twist," and that they would be directed by his buyer from there.
While on the way to the SaSassis Bar, the travelers encountered a few individuals. Upon their arrival, the bar was crowded, though there was still space available at the counter. The travelers met with the establishment's bartender, who—upon hearing the travelers request the beverage specified by Armand—informed them through code that they were looking for New Republic Intelligence Service agent Bren-Nevin Rordan in the city's northwest shop area, then charged the group two credits. After speaking to the bartender, the group met another few individuals and became engaged in a bar fight or two. They then made their way to meet Rordan at Rordan's Galactic Exotic Art.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The SaSassis Bar was created by Richard Clark, Barbara Clark, and Janelle Keberle and introduced in "Den of Spies," an adventure in Twin Stars of Kira, a 1993 supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The random encounters and bar fights prior to entering and inside the SaSassis Bar described in "Den of Spies" are given no instructions or details for how they play out, and they are presented as optional at gamemasters' discretion. The players also have the chance of never reaching the bar, with the gamemaster being given the opportunity to deem their actions upon arriving on Kirima "stupid," resulting in the party's apprehension by New Republic Customs.[1]
