Sabaoth Squadron
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
- "Sabaoth Squadron. Nasty group of mercenaries. Last time I ran into 'em, Nym had to bail me out."
- ―Reti to Adi Gallia[src]
Sabaoth Squadron was an independent mercenary navy/starfighter squadron. It was under the command of Captain Cavik Toth during the years leading up to the Clone Wars. Count Dooku made a pact with Captain Cavik Toth, whereby Toth's starfighters were used to bolster Separatist defenses and fight Nym's pirates, the Lok Revenants and Sol Sixxa's command of the Mere Resistance at Karthakk system and finally fighting both Karthakk's pirate groups and the new Republic Navy at the Battle of Geonosis.

[edit] Behind the scenes
Sabaoth is a Hebrew word signifying "hosts" or "armies". The God of ancient Israel came to be known and addressed as Yah’weh tseva·’ohth′, or Jehovah of armies, a title transliterated in the book of James of the Greek Scriptures as "the Lord of sabaoth" (American Standard Version).
The squadron's name is also similar in appearance to the surname of Jedi Master Jorus C'baoth of the Outbound Flight project.
