Salaka Kuchimba was a human male who served as a soldier in the military forces of the Resistance during their war with the First Order. He wore a green uniform jacket and tattered combat cap along with a brown scarf, brown pants and brown boots. He was equipped with an EL-16 blaster and had fair skin, green eyes and brown hair.

Salaka Kuchimba was portrayed by Griffin Hamill, son of Mark Hamill, in the film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, which was released on December 15, 2017. The character was not named in the film, but received identification in Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo and released in conjunction with the film.
