Salen was a male Human who served as the chief engineer on the Republic cruiser Esseles during the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the resurgent Sith Empire.

BiographyEdit

When the ship was attacked, Salen and his crew were trapped in the engineering deck with the rest of the engineering crew. A group was attempting to repel the Mandalorian and Imperial invaders, and Ambassador Vyn Asara suggested venting the engineering compartment to override the lockdown, which would give the group access to the Mandalorian-held bridge. Salen became furious and shouted at them not to kill him and his crew. However, Salen's subordinate Vepp suggested that they reroute the power generators instead of depressurizing the engineering section, which worked and gave the group access to the bridge without killing the crew.

Salen was created for Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game released by BioWare on December 20, 2011. He appears in the Republic Flashpoint Esseles.
