Baron Sando of Vena was the son of Baroness Omnino. He was also part of her plan to defame the Jedi and destabilize (and eventually take control of) the Galactic Republic. Sando cooperated closely with Taxer Sundown, Omnino's right-hand man on Ord Mantell, in order to transport Mantellian Savrips to Vena for delicacy meat, and also instituted a breeding program to raise them like cattle. With his last shipment, however, one of the creatures broke free, and killed him.
