[edit] Biography

Born on the humid planet Plavin 6, Saren Llalik was the only daughter and third child of Drs. Nash and Loran Llalik. Her elder brother and middle child of the family, Nashiak Llalik, was an armor expert who, as a child, entertained Saren with tales about the Death Watch, the Sun Guard and their armors.[1]

Saren and her oldest brother joined the Rebel Alliance at the same time that Nashiak joined COMPNOR. Both Saren and Nashiak became gurus in their respective fields of expertise: Saren as a cyborg technology expert, and Nashiak as an armor technology expert.[1]

In 1 ABY, Llalik was the Director of Prosthetic Design for BioTech Industries. A cybernetic specialist working in different experimental designs, she was reputable for her high quality design projects she directed and managed, such Borg Construct Aj^6 Unit and others. She worked from a laboratory in BioTech HQ in the Corellian system.[1]

Llalik was also a Rebel supporter. She developed a system to provide top-secret information to the Rebel command, including military designs for the Galactic Empire, using the 2-1B droid at his lab. Llalik had included an espionage module in the droid, and she used the module to store files about new cybernetic designs. Medical technician Kena Shont, also a Rebel agent, would later download the data on her personal datapad, and then give the information to the Rebel command. The droid was blissfully unaware of this, and BioTech maintenance could not detect the sabotage unless they performed an analysis that only the Director of Prosthetic Design (Llalik herself) could request.[1]

In 2 ABY, Llalik was on an extended paid vacation. She helped The Task Force on Alliance Security as a consultant on medical and cyborg advances that could be used against the Empire. In that role, she wrote a report on the threat posed by Dr. Clinto Alaras on agent Sommen.[1]

Llalik also wrote a report on her own brother Nashiak, by then an armor designer for Imperial military projects. She considered him blind to the evil uses of his projects, and wanted to recruit him for the Rebel Alliance so that the two could work side by side. She fondly recalled his stories from their childhood, and wanted him to re-tell the armor tales once again.[1]

In 4 ABY, soon after the Battle of Endor, Llalik was still active as a member of the soon-to-be Alliance of Free Planets. At that point, she was well-respected because of her engineering work that provided the soldiers with new items. Historian Voren Na'al compared her work with that of Jan Dodonna and Airen Cracken.[2]
