Savage Squadron was one of the two starfighter squadrons made up of smugglers from Dubrillion piloting Lando Calrissian's uglies, the other being Tough Squadron. They fought in the evacuation of Dubrillion and the Battle of Dantooine during the Yuuzhan Vong War.

Savage Squadron was the greater of the two, being composed of ships that had shields or powerful weapons. It was originally termed Salvage Squadron before Rogue Squadron changed the name following how fierce they fought at Dubrillion. By the time the decision to evacuate Dantooine arrived, all but one flight of Savage Squadron had been destroyed.
