Saw Gerrera was a rebel fighting to take control of the planet of Onderon from its king who had sided with the Separatist during the Clone Wars.

Biography

Around 20 BBY when the Confederacy of Independent Systems tried to take over Onderon, Gerrera, Lux Bonteri, Steela Gerrera, and others formed a rebellion to take control of the system, Gerrera named himself the leader.

Gerrera and Bonteri sent for help from the Jedi Temple who in turn sent Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and CT-7567 to help train the rebels. When the Jedi arrived, they trained the rebels on how to disarm AATs and how to properly take out Droidekas. Tano helped Gerrera train on how to disarm the Droideka.

While the rebels were testing their shooting abilities, a group of droids attacked the rebel's base, which escalated into a firefight. Gerrera and the other rebels held their own until an AAT is brought in. Gerrera and Bonteri, who failed to disarm the AAT during practice, tried again and succeeded.

Later, Gererra accompanies Bonteri, Steela, Tano, Kenobi, Skywalker, and Rex into the capital city where they split up to find supplies and reinforcements.

Gerrera named himself the leader of the rebellion when there isn't one, showing signs that he is somewhat full of himself and his capabilities. Gerrera is a good soldier, being able to help fight an entire group of droids and disarm an AAT with help from Lux Bonteri.
