Sayormi

The Sayormi was a mysterious race who were believed to be ghosts that haunted the lower regions of the Kkowir Forest on Kashyyyk. The Wookiees of the Kerritamba Tribe often fought with the Sayormi who they believed constantly searched for blood as evidenced by the humanoid bodies, including those of Wookiees, that hung outside their territory.

The Sayormi were actually an ancient race of humanoids who made this deep level of the Forest their home which they defended ferociously. They worshiped a dead pantheon of deities and tamed some of the wildlife for their use.

The Sayormi, in terms of name, appearance, and out-of-place immigration, resemble the Sanyassan Marauders of Endor.
