The Scarab Mark VI assassin droid was an assassin droid designed to look like a small insect. They were designed to kill through stealth, not brute force. Scarabs carried varying payloads, including poison and flesh-eating shredders. It had enough capacity for 2 uses. The droid had magnetic feet which allowed it to climb metallic surfaces and advanced sensors that would allow it to track a specific target if it was supplied with a sample of biological fluid.

Scarab Mark VI droids were used in the assassination attempt on Luke Skywalker during his stay on New Alderaan.

The Scarab Mark VI was one of 18 Scarab varieties, as was the Scarab Mark III.
