The Scatalpen was a deadly predator from Aleen. They hunted by slashing the stomachs of prey and causing them to trip on their entrails. The prey would then be killed brutally by the creature.

Ratts Tyerell, a famous Aleena podracer, named his podracer the Scatalpen for the dangerous creatures.
